A suffering Christian in Afghanistan

In the tense atmosphere of the churches today, we forget that there is no substitute for Christians acting like Christians–instead of spending so much time, energy, and money fighting with one another. A story from Afghanistan describes the difficulty of being a Christian in that country. Embedded in the story is a piercing testimony of a man who was converted to Christianity because of the actions of two women who showed mercy to Afghans after a bombing.

Now this man, Sayed Mussa, is in indefinite detention, cut off from his family and from fellow Christians. Let us pray for him to receive courage and hope from the Holy Spirit for his ordeal.
