Afterword for The Crucifixion: Understanding the Death of Jesus Christ
This important addition to my book appears at the back of the second printing of the original volume from Eerdmans. It expresses my indebtedness to James H. Cone’s The Cross and the Lynching Tree and explains why I regret not knowing of Cone’s book until after mine was published.
